After your implants are placed they are normally covered by your gum tissue. If by the time you come to complete the restorative work the gum is still on top of the implant we will need to make a small incision to access/expose your implants, this is the small connection surgery.

To ensure the survival of your dental implants and their proper function, they have to undergo the process of “Osseointegration”, which is a structural connection that forms between your natural jawbone and the titanium implant. This process can take anywhere from 4 to 6 months to properly heal and integrate into the jawbone, depending on the location of the dental implant.

When your tooth is badly broken or missing a significant percentage of its, volume due to result of a disease or cavities, a dental crown may be required to restore the function and appearance of the tooth. If there are any cavities or failing fillings, we will need to remove them in order to clean the tooth and reconstruct it with a new filling.

This depends on the amount of work you are having done, but here are some general time frames:

• Implant placement / surgical phase: 4 business days (plus arrival and departure).
• 1-5 units: 5 business days (plus arrival and departure).
• 6 or more units: 9 business days (plus arrival and departure).

When it comes to restorative work, the lab requires a predetermined amount of days in need to complete the work. However, you should know that you will not be all these days in the clinic, so you will also have sufficient time to travel and enjoy our beautiful country, while we work in your dental adjustments laboratory.

If you are in a good health condition but fear going to the dentist or feel anxious when you are at the dentist, sedation might help you get your teeth cleaned so you can maintain or improve your oral health. Often, anesthesiology will give older people a smaller dose of the sedative to lower the risk of negative effects. Please ask to dental team about your health condition.
